Peter Hambling

Peter's interest in trains began in his youth, while visiting his Grandfather's home outside of England. As a child Peter would always find someone to take him to the railroad tracks on the border of the property to watch the commuter train go racing by. This childhood love for trains reemerged later in life as a vision of creating a museum quality model railroad within his home. Peter collected and read over 400 railroad books, along the way marking with sticky notes his favorite landscapes.

Thus begun the creation of the Model Railroad Museum of the American West. The artists went to work to feather these favorite scenes together in a seamless manner, leading smoothly from one environment to another. Today the MRM layout is one of the largest O-Scale model railroads in the country. Over the years Peter has recognized that it's not necessarily about trains, it's about watching skilled artists create a unique world of landscapes out of raw materials. It brings him great joy to see these artists creativity and skill.

Rob Nelson

Rob began his model railroading career on the MRM layout back in 2010. Before miniature worlds became his career, he worked for an alternative energy company, specifically working in the design and testing phase of hydrogen reactors.  His experience in low voltage wiring and diagnostics helped the evolution into working on highly technical model railroads. Rob has transitioned into a project manager role, as the MRM takes the next step in becoming a world class museum.

Rob is a lifetime Snoqualmie Valley resident, living at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac near the base of Mount Si. When he's not, "playing with trains" he can be found doing something outdoors with his wife, one year old son and 2 crazy pups.

Todd Gamble

Todd is a fine artist and resides in Snoqualmie, Washington. His works include miniature sets for TV and film, interpretive models for historical museums and private commissions which include model railroad landscape scenery. Todd teaches classes in creativity and has a degree in Fine Art and a degree in Promotion Graphics.

David Hazelton

David has been helping to design, build, and maintain the Northwest Trunk Lines project since 2008. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University and also enjoys volunteering in his community.
